Thanks to Bro. Fred Van Dyk
We assembled at the lodge early to put together
our float. Since this is the Fidelity Lodge's 135th anniversary,
we decided to show some of the history of the organizations which
meet and met in the building. To facilitate the idea, we decided
to display some of the banners of those organizations. On the
reviewing stand side, we displayed the banners of Fidelity Chapter
#49 of Royal Arch Masons and Ridgewood Chapter of the Order of
DeMolay. On the other side we displayed the banner of Bethlehem
Commandery # 27 of the Knights Templar .
Here we show the preparation work on the sides of the flatbed
to prepare for the people who will be riding on the float.
We thank Dan and Don Mueller of Silentia Lodge for once again
supplying the cab and flatbed to make our float a success!
Here is another view of our float under construction. Thanks to
brothers Bob Buck, Mike Firkser, Harry Kramer, Dan and Don Mueller,
Fred Van Dyk and Frank Williams for assembly and tear down of
the float.
Shown here are the brothers from Fidelity Lodge who marched: Frank
Williams and Fred Van Dyk with the banner with Ed Archbold and
Mike Firkser. While this group and the people who rode on the
float got to be outside on a nice day, we cant forget the
group that stayed back at the lodge to get breakfast to the assembly
point and get ready for the bar-b-que: John and Lou DeSocio and
Bob Wright who were assisted by the ladies, Evelyn Buck, Samantha
Carcelen and Barbara DeSocio.
The marching contingent with our thanks to all who participated
to make the day a great success!
Fidelity Lodge members riding the float included Bob Buck, Walter
M.D. Kern, Harry Kramer, Bill Unrath and Ed Verdi. Barbara Oberkfell
represented Ridgewood Chapter # 39 of the Order of Eastern Star.
